I am forever on the hunt for products that will help me achieve a naturally dewy complexion.
Especially during the winter when the frigid air sucks out any moisture left on my hands or face. This year I've tested a few new things as well as revisited some products that have been tried and true. I have to say, I have finally nailed down a regimen that works for me and that you have noticed - Here is my top 5 list of products I use to help my skin glow from the inside out.
Mac's Prep + Prime Fix +
Key to supple skin? Moisturize...then moisturize again with a spritz of MAC's Fix+. Something in this expensive water spray really does the trick for pre&post makeup application.
FARSÁLI rose gold elixir
A new product I've been testing out this year. It's that oil that you've probably seen videos of makeup instagramers dripping copious amounts product onto their face with gold specs in it. Eventually coming around, I decided to try the smaller travel size since the full size bottle was too much of a financial commitment. Needless to say, I'm going back to purchase the whole damn thing. This 4-karat, gold-infused beauty oil is formulated with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that work together synergistically to give your skin all it needs to naturally glow. I'll use one or two drops on high points of my face that don't naturally produce oils (cheeks, eyebrow bone, chin).
mac's strobe cream
Another product I tried this year, and will be purchasing the full size after I'm done with the baby size. One major key to both radiantly & naturally glowing is to NOT cake on foundation. I'll mix in strobe cream which has small flex of highlighter in it, with my foundation to dilute it out. That way I'm not putting on a full layer of foundation, and if I need more coverage in some areas, I'll just spot conceal.
Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter
I have a LOT of favorite liquid highlighters...but none like this one from Marc Jacobs. You'll only need one small 1/2 pump of product and that should be MORE than enough to highlight your cheeks, nose, cupid's bow, and even your chin. PLEASE NOTE - if you do happen to give this product a try, it does tend to dry quickly so I'd recommend focusing on blending one area of your face at a time rather than dabbing a little here and there then working your way through. (Unless the blotchy highlight look is what you're going for.)
Nars Albatross Highlighter
No glow list is ever complete without a powder highlighter. Nars Albatross is my holy grail, tried and true, and has been there since freshman year of college when I learned how to properly highlight my face. Albatross looks white on pan, but is in all actuality, a densely packed compact of finely milled gold flex. On your skin, the highlighter looks almost metallic gold under light. Press a little on the middle of your liquid highlight for that extra BAM then spritz one last time a little Fix+ to melt all the layers together, & there you have it...A radiant glowing face that is beautiful and dewy from the inside out.
